TITLE: Hesperornis in Alaska
AUTHOR: Laurie J. Bryant
JOURNAL: PaleoBios
PUBLISHED: Dec 22, 1983
NOTES: no. 40
ABSTRACT: Hesperornis is reported from the Ignek Formation, Echooka River, Alaska. While not a northward extension of the range of this genus, its discovery in Alaska is an interesting addition to high-latitude Cretaceous vertebrate faunas. The age of this isolated specimen cannot be determined with precision but is doubtless late Cretaceous (Coniacian — Campanian).
